To gather data on user experience, Yahoo! pays for your participation on their study.

Who can participate: You can be anybody from Web novices and experts, Yahoo! users and non-users, people who use Yahoo! at home or at work, adults and teenagers to everyone! But you must be at least 13 years of age to fill out the sign up form. Furthermore, anyone participating in the studies who is less than 18 years of age must have parental consent to do so. Though yahoo! User research is open to international participants, yet its best if you are from the US.

Types of researches: Yahoo! Conducts user researches in many ways, like:

• Visiting you at your location in a field study
• Inviting you to come into a Yahoo! office to participate in a usability study
• Speaking with you in a telephone interview
• Participating in an online focus group study
• Connecting with you with an online survey
